I. Product Overview
HXB-II high-efficient pumping aid for concrete consists of superplasticizer, retarder, air entrainer and correction raw materials. With addition of type HXB-II high-efficient pumping aid, the concrete properties can meet the requirements of first-class products specified in Chinese JC473-2001 “concrete pumping aid”. The product is applicable to the C20 ~ C60 strength grade of concrete. It is a pumping aid currently used in largest amount because its cost performance is reasonable.
II. Main Characteristics
1.Strengthening performance: With the same slump and the same cement content as the reference concrete, the water reduction rate for the concrete with addition of HXB-II pumping aid reaches up to 12 to 25 percent, the concrete strength at three to seven days is increased by 30 to 50 percent, and the strength at 28 days increased by 15 to 25 percent;
2.Pumping performance: Under the premise of the same water-binder ratio as compared with the reference concrete, the pumpability of the concrete with HXB-II pumping aid is significantly improved by a net increase of slump ≥ 100 mm, and slump loss at one hour <15%;
3.Impermeability index: Due to reduction of water content and increased self-compacting effect for the concrete with the pumping aid, compared with the reference concrete, impermeability index may upgraded by more than 50 percent;
4.Retarding effect: As the mobility of the concrete added with the pumping aid can significantly increase, the concrete placing is much improved. The exothermic peak of cement hydration delays, avoiding the phenomenon of cold joints between two layers of placing, which effectively enhances its anti-cracking and waterproof properties;
5.Workability improved: The operational properties of the fresh concrete such as workability, water retention and bleeding are improved;
6.Smooth surface: With addition of the pumping aid to concrete, its viscosity, gas content and bleeding phenomenon can be effectively improved, so that the concrete surface of all types has bright and clean appearance;
7.Non-chlorine and low-alkali: Free from rusty steel bars.
