I. About Product
1. APPLICATION
1.1 The Ring Main Unit is used for the secondary distribution networks.
1.2 The ring main unit is conform to the following standard specifications,
IEC Publications: 60684, 60298, 60420, 60265, 60129, 60056, 60529.
2. SERVICE CONDITIONS
2.1 The ambient temperature does not exceed the range of -40°C~+50°C. Its average value measured over a period of 24 hours does not exceed 40°C.
2.2 The altitude does not exceed 4000M.
2.3 Relative humidity range from 0~100%.
2.4 Earthquake Richter scale: Not over than 8.
2.5 Condensation, heavy pollution and corrosion are all considered while designing.
3. TYPES:
Our standard Ring Main Units are un-extendible type. According customer’s specific requirements, we also can supply the extendible type. Our standard Ring Main Units can be supplied in 25 different configurations suitable for most switching applications in 12/24 kV distribution networks. They represent nearly a complete solution for 12/24 kV secondary distribution networks.

4. MAIN ACCESSOREIS:
1) BAROMETER ( GAS LEAKAGE INDICATION): Barometer is provided to indicate the sufficient and in-sufficient gas pressure.
2) VOLTAGE CONTROL DEVICE AND PHASE COMPARISION TESTING: A voltage control device is installed for each circuit to show if the cable is energized or not. Socks for phase comparison testing are provided.
3) SHORT CIRCUIT INDICATORS: Short circuit indicators can be installed which can be manually re-settable.
4)COUNTER: Counter is installed to show the operating times.
5) OPENING HANDLE: One common operating handle for High Voltage and Earthing switches is provided for each set of Ring Main Unit.
6) PRESSURE RELEASING DEVICE: Each set of Ring Main Unit will be installed a pressure releasing device for releasing the pressure when the inner pressure overpasses the standard.
7) LOW PRESSURE ALARMING DEVICE: With the device, the alarming sound will be given when the pressure lower than the standard.
8) PAD LOCKING: Provision is made for padlocking the load break switches and the earthing switches in either OPEN OR CLOSED position, a parking position for the padlock is provided for each padlocking device.
