1.1 Instruction:This heater is designed and produced according to the to JTJ052-93 Standard from the State Ministry of Transportation and Communications with the reference of the relevant rotary film standard in the Japanese JIS Standard. It is applicable for determining the performance variation of the semisolid bitumen under the heating and air actions. This experimental method is comparatively close to the actual circumstances of the heating and agitation in the use process. It can examine the antiaging performance of the bitumen within a short period of time.
1.2 Structure element:1. SummarizeThe out body is composed by thin steel plates. The upper part is the electric control part, the lower part is the working room of the heater, there is a gear-box of turn plate and electric motor at the rear side.2. Working roomWorking room is the full stainless steel double door type. Observation window is rectangle. There are many devices in the room, such as light, squirrel cage type fan, compelling ventilation stack, intake, turn plate, etc. The shell of the working room is made all with stainless steel 3. Ventilation There is a accessory small air compressor to the heater for the test. Air enters into the copper tube of the heater and warm-up after measured by the flowmeter on the panel, and then is spouted into the sample plasma bottle on the turn plate by the nozzle. The airflow in the heater circumgyrates to a certain direction affected by the compelling ventilation stack and the squirrel cage type fan. Some of the excrescent air is exhausted out of the heater by the upper overlow port.4. Constant temperature heatingThe heater is with the type of convection electric heating of up and down layers. The constant control adopts the high sensitive resistance and the temperature controller of time proportion type and adjustment digital.5. Turn plateThe heater is fixed with electric motor and speed change mechanism at the rearward. There is a 15r.p.m turn plate in the working room, it can be fixed 8 sample plasma bottle with glass jaws for bitumen sample at the same time.
1.3 Operation:1. 1. FixingIt should be fixed in a good ventilation room or ventilation cabinet as there is hot air containing bitumen extricating when testing. There should be a over loading secure device in the power supply line and also with the earth wire. Hang the thermometer in the heater’s working room.2. Adjustment and collationStart the electric power, use the heating gear when temperature rising, and set the temperature to the needed temperature. It should be 163°C according to the test request of film circumrotate heater. Observe the thermometer in the working room, the electric control part change the heating power automatically when it reaching the needed temperature. You can fix the sample plasma bottle, start the wind supply source, adjust the flowmeter steady flow valve at the entrance of the heater to 4000ml/min according to the prescript of test when the indicative temperature of the thermometer reaches to the balance temperature of 163°C±0.5°C.3. OperationWeigh a certain bitumen sample according to the prescript of test, put into the necking down sample plasma bottle respectively, and then fix on the turn plate proportionally. The empty bottle should be fixed on the turn plate symmetrically if the sample plasma bottle containing sample less than 8 hours. Start the air compressor to supply the air to the heater. When reach to the time of test prescript, shop heating and the turn plate power, reopen the door of working room to take out the sample plasma bottle.
1.4 Notice:1. When it is the first time to fix and use, you should to check if the electric power is up to the request. Start the turn plate to check if the Turn plate revolution is 15±0.2r.p.m.2. When using the accessory air compressor , you should maintain it according to the instruction. If user use other air source, you should check the indication of the flowmeter reaches the request of test frequently.3. When the temperature constantly controlled at 163°C±0.5°C, there may be a small difference between the reading of the temperature controller and the thermometer in the heater, but should be followed the thermometer in the heater, outer used for control and reference. If the reading on the temperature controller is different to the reading of catch plate, you can adjust the knob behind the instrument towards “+” and “-” to make the reading and setting constant (refer to the instruction of the temperature controller).4. Check the status of the lube in the gear box regularly.
