1.1 Instruction:Higher requests are aked to the road anti-slip performance and detection means of city road and airport runway along with the development of the transportation cause. The friction coefficient determinator is developed by relevant scientific research unit and our factory. The instrument is stable and reliable, easy for calibrating, easy for operating, the test data is accurate, it can be compared with foreign product in the same field. This instrument could be used both in the room and field. It is the ideal anti-slip detecting device for high construction curing.
1.2 Principle:BM-III swing type friction coefficient determinator is the dynamic swing impact instrument. It is developed and made in the principle of “the potential energy lose of swing is equal to work to overcome the pavement friction when the pendulum arm slipping on the pavement”.
1.3 Structure:1. Base: it is composed by T-leg, adjusting screw and level bubble. It can adjust the instrument, do the function of supporting.2. Column: it is composed by column, elevating system, guiding post and instrument handle. It is used for elevating and fixing the swing head position.3. Release switch: it is fixed on the cantilever. It is used for keeping the balance position of the swing post and releasing the pendulum to drop.4. Turing system: including fastening handle, pendulum axis, steering knuckle and bearing. It does the functions of connecting the swing, fixing the position, making sure it swing in the plane freely.5. Indicate system: including needle felt collar, holddown cover, needle adjusting screw and scale plate. The neede can indicate the swing value directly.6. Pendulum head: it is composed by upper and lower connector, swing post, spring, lever, lifting handle, hammer shell, slipping unit, rubber sheet (76×25.4×6.35mm). it can regulate the torque to the swing center, regulate the pressure to the pavement, keep the balance of swing head in the direction of forward and back, left and right. It is the scale of measuring the friction coefficient of pavement. See the structure in picture 1.

1.6 Maintenance, keeping and transportation:(1) The swing type friction coefficient determinator is a precision instrument, it must be kept carefully, so that won’t to effect the accuracy. If you are not familary with the structure part, read the operating manual carefully before using, know the structure, function and operating method of every part clearly. Do not dissamble the instrument except the allowed active part or pendulum head for calibrating.(2) Clean all the part of the instrument after operating, put it in the box and keep it in the room where it is aeration-dry, no acid and corrosive and volatile matters.(3) It should be kept and moved in the packing box, except operating or other special case.(4) The instrument must be kept in the transportation box when long distance transportation. No impact or strong shaking when load and unload and transportation.
1.7 Appendix:(1) CalibratingThe instrument should be calibrated once every year. Disassemble the pendulum head from the connecting nut when calibrating. Send it back to tha factory after packing.
