With the same function as common suspension clamps, Helical suspension clamps can be used as suspension conducting wire and earth wire, which not only can effectively protect the conductor but also can reduce the corona discharge,so especially fit for extra high voltage line(220kV or above). In addition, the two support-point type suspension clamps can be applied on tower with big angle(30°-60°)for cross-river long distance transmit electricity. •Armor-grip suspension clamp is intended for use on Aluminum based conductors and galvanized steel strands. It is designed to reduce the static and dynamic stress at the support point, so that the conductor or strand is protected against the effects of oscillations, it also protects the conductor against impulse and power flash-over. Armor-grip suspension is recommended as being superior to armor-clamp combinations, for protecting conductors from bending stress, compression stress and abrasion.

Unbalanced Load: When initially installed, the armor-grip suspension unit has a slip load of approximately 20% of the conductor breaking strength, and approximately 10% of the extra-high standard strands RBS during unbalanced load conditions, but significantly higher loads can be expected after the unit has been in service for a period of time.

Line Angle: The maximum recommended line angle for a single support CL unit is 30°, for angles between 30°and 60°, the CL is recommended.
