AWIDs MPR-2010BN RFID reader is an integrated interrogator that combines RFID reader and antenna in a single package. It is equipped with multi-protocol compatibility and PoE (Power over Ethernet connectivity.MPR-2010BN is a versatile stationary reader capable of decoding EPC C0, C1, Zuma (Impinj) ISO-18000-6 Type B, EM Micro and designed to be upgradeable to EPC C1V2 (as of November 2003).MPR-2010BN is network-upgradeable, which ensures that your supply chain infrastructure investment can grow with the changing demands of future protocol standards.
Designed for supply chain item tagging and asset tracking applications, MPR-2010BN works well in conveyor belt applications and in multi-reader portal arrangements. This reader comes with a near ideal circular-polarized antenna to ensure capturing tags in random orientations. A powerful multi-tag arbitration algorithm in the MPR-2010BN allows a simultaneous read of a large number of tags in the antennas field of view.
MPR-2010BN also has two sets of optically isolated General Purpose I/O (G P I/O ) to accept input from optical or mechanical sensors and to drive alarms and activity displays. Built-in temperature monitoring circuit allows for an early diagnostic of the operating environment and the well being of the RFID reader. When used in a conveyor belt or a portal reader arrangement, MPR-2010BN can demonstrate fast and reliable operations. Ideally suited to long-range supply chain asset tracing and monitoring applications, MPR-2010BN can monitor and report assets traffic to a central station on a real-time basis.
Using Ethernet with PoE , the reader receives its operating power from the remote PoE equipped Ethernet switch or router and requires only one CAT5 cable with RJ45 connector for power, command, and data I/O. This configuration eliminates the need to string separate AC power cable and drastically reduces system installation cost.
