E308L-16 is a lime titanium type welding rod for extra-low carbon stainless steels. The weld metal shows very good resistance to inter-crystal corrosion for the carbon content in it is ≤ 0.04%. All positions welding are good,. Welding of extra-low carbon stainless steel 00Cr19Ni10 (e.g. 304L). Also welding of 0Cr18Ni10Ti stainless steel structures, which working conditions need to be resistance corrosion and working temperature is below 300°C. Mainly be used in equipments of synthetic fibre, fertilizer, petroleum & chemical industry and so on. Before welding, the weld metal must be clear away impurities, such as oil, rust, moisture etc., and the rod should be baked at the temperature from 300°C to 350°C for 1hour. Small current and short are recommended in welding and swaying broad less than 2.5 times of diameter of the core rod is better.
