Electrode A146
Electrode A146

A146 is a Cr20Ni10Mn6 stainless-steel electrode with low-hydrogen and potassium flux coating.

Accord with Q/LB.J02023-2008

DescriptionA146 is a Cr20Ni10Mn6 stainless-steel electrode with low-hydrogen and potassium flux coating. It has good crack, heat and corrosion resistances, and can be operated with both dc and ac as well as in all welding positions.

Application:It is used for welding of special steels and stainless steels(such as 0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti) as well as the high-chromium steel that does not need postweld heat treatment.

Points for Attention:

1.    The electrode must be baked at 250 for 1 hour before welding.

2.    Oil dirt, rust and other foreign matter, etc must be cleaned away from the surface of base metal.

3.    Try to use dc power source. Ac operation will give a shallow fusion. For the purpose to prevent electrode from getting red,the operation current should not be too large.
