Quicking Canine Parvovirus Antigen Test is a vital differential diagnostic tool for canine diarrhea. It justifies the implementation of strict isolation and disinfection measures.

From a simple fecal sample, Quicking Canine Parvovirus Antigen Test can be done in-house in only 10 minutes.

Quicking Canine Parvovirus Antigen Test can be stored for 18 months at room temperature, between 2 and 30°C.

Canine Parvovirus Antigen Test Test procedure

-        Collect canine feces or vomit with the swab stick from canine cloaca or on the ground.

-        Insert the wet swab into the provided assay buffer tube. Agitate it to assure good sample extraction.

-        Take out the cassette from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.

-        Gradually drip 3 drops of sample extraction into the sample hole.

-        Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.

Canine Parvovirus Antigen Test Interpretation of results

Positive: The presence of both C band and T band, no matter T band is clear or vague.

Negative: Only clear C band appears.

Invalid: No colored band appears in C zone, no matter whether T band appears.

The diagnosis of parvovirus should be based on clinical signs and a positive fecal test.

 Any animal presenting with a positive fecal test or indicative symptoms should be isolated and treated to prevent subsequent transmission of the virus to healthy individuals.

 NB: tests undertaken within 30 days of vaccination may give false positive results.

 In the event of acute diarrhea in the young dog, Quicking Canine Parvovirus Antigen test can be combined with Quicking Canine Rotavirus Antigen test and Quicking Canine Coronavirus Antigen Test.
