VETEST Classical Swine Fever Virus Antibody Rapid Test Device (Serum/Plasma) is an in vitro diagnostic rapid test based on lateral flow immunochromatographic assay technology. The CSFV Ab test is designed by BETAI Biotechnology Co., Ltd for the purpose of qualitatively detecting Classical Swine Fever antibody in pig’s serum or plasma. The typical recombinant antigen from segment of E2 and NS3 was applied and strictly controlled in good quality assurance systems. The highly controlled system ensures tiny batch variation and excellent repeatability.

APPLICATIONS & PROSPECTS

Real-time monitoring the pig herd’s classical swine fever antibody levels in farms, especially the large-scale farms.

For breeders: the CSFV Ab test provides a convenient and easy-to-operate way to learn the herd immunity level, by replacing the traditional way of sending specimens to laboratories. In this way, time cost could be greatly saved.

For vaccine suppliers: the CSFV Ab test provides a new way instead of blocking ELISA to introduce good CSFV vaccine to breeders visually.

         SPECIFICATIONS

Testing Time: 10 minutes Specimen: serum /plasma/whole bloodSampling Quantity: 50 uL, or 2 drops by the provided disposable dropperStorage Temperature: 2-30 CShelf Life: 2 years. Packing Size: 40 tests/kit

 INTERPRETATIONS

NEGATIVE: only one band appears in the control region (C), which indicates that the pig does not gain protective antibodies to classical swine fever virus. Vaccination should be planned.

POSITIVE: two bands appear individually in the control region (C) and test region (T), which indicates that there are CSFV antibodies in the pig body. There are protective level antibodies if the T band shows clearly dark. But the vague or light T band indicates a suspicious result, which requires a repeated testing should be applied days later.

INVALID: control band fails to appear.

Test MethodLateral flow colloidal gold immunochromatographic assayEnzyme-linked immnosorbent assay
SpecimenSerum/plasma/Whole blood, no matter clean or hemolysisClean Serum/plasma (hemolysis is not acceptable)
Detection ModeSingle specimen, separate testingMultiple specimens, in bulk testing
Application Site

In field testing mainly

Laboratory testing is also OK

Laboratory testin only
Testing Time10 minutes onlyAbove 1 hour
Adverse FactorStable, does not affected by hemolysis

If hemolysis happens, the released peroxydase would affect the result and give wrong result.

Equipment DependenceDo not require complex equipment or professionalThe microplat reader is required, to be carried by mature technicians. The accuracy of ELISA is depended on the mature operation by technicians
Data Form & Indication

Provide qaulitative result by Positive/Negative.

Provide direct indication on vaccination or not.

Provide quantitative result by OD value. The data  should be analyzed by software and transfer to positive negative or suspicious.
