In woodworking, veneer refers to thin slices of wood, usually thinner than 3 mm (1/8 inch), that are typically glued onto core panels (typically, wood, particle board or medium-density fiberboard) to produce flat panels such as doors, tops and panels for cabinets, parquet floors and parts of furniture. They are also used in marquetry. Plywood consists of three or more layers of veneer, each glued with its grain at right angles to adjacent layers for strength. Veneer beading is a thin layer of decorative edging placed around objects, such as jewelry boxes. Veneer is also a type of manufactured board.
Our veneer product, called panel as well, is a kind of plywood that glued with 0.2mm thickness of thin solid wood sheet as surface on one side. It’s a kind of one side decorative board as its surface shows the patterns of the solid wood cut from. Normally the face woods are oak, cunninghamia konishii, campharwood, pinus sylvestris, ashtree, mahogany (okoume), lauan, birch, pine etc. Veneer is a kind of special plywood and the thickness of the whole veneer is 3mm.
The full name of laminated veneer is decorative overlaid plywood, or named pattern veneer, twice forming board. Our decorative veneer is processed from our 3-plywood, glued with solid wood sheet cut from rare natural wood then experienced pre-pressing, hot pressing and polishing. The species of veneer is named as per the name of wood of surface sheet cut from. They are: candlenut veneer, Mahogany veneer, birch veneer, oak veneer etc. The specification is thickness 3mm, size 3’X7’ and thickness 2.7-3mm, size 4’X8’. We can also process as per buyers’ specifications.
