     Physical and Chemical Properties:

This product is a kind of colorless or yellowish, transparent semisolid substance, nontoxic and odorless.

The product has nice chemical stability and good resistance to heat, oxidation, ozone, acid and alkali, UV ray and weather etc. Its volume specific resistance is high and its expansion coefficient is small. It contains no dielectric and has excellent electric insurability and there is no residue after heating. It is well compatible with polyethylene and paraffin wax, etc. It is soluble in organic solvents like gasoline and benzene but not water and alcohol types of solvents, with nice shearing stability.

     Main Applications:

1.Lubricating Oil

Poly-isobutylene has stable chemical property, and contains fewer impurities than mineral oil. It can be used either as lubricating oil separately or as composite lubricating oil, thus it is obvious that poly-isobutylene has a brighter development prospect in the lubricating oil industry.

2.Electric Insulation

Poly-isobutylene has an excellent electric insulation property, can be used as the electric insulating material.

3.Adhesive

Poly-isobutylene can be used as a binding agent for sticker and pressure sensitive adhesive.

This product does not belong to dangerous articles; medium molecular weight poly-isobutylene can be packed in 200L galvanized drum with a net weight of 165KG

     Physical and Chemical Properties:
The product is a kind of yellowish transparent semi-solid substance, nontoxic and odorless. It has good chemical stability and resistance to heat, ozone, acid and alkali, UV ray, and weather, etc. It has high electric volume resistance, low expansion coefficient, no dielectric medium, excellent electrical insulation no residues after pyrolysis, and good compatibility with polyethylene and paraffin wax, etc. It is soluble in organic solvents such as gasoline and benzene etc., but not in water and alcohol type solvents, and has good shearing stability.

     Main Applications:
1.Sealing Compound: Poly-isobutylene is suitable for producing various sealing agents and hollow glass sealing compounds to increase the flexibility and penetrability of products for its excellent features and properties, such as atmosphere resistance, aging resistance, weather resistance and impermeability to water vapor.
2.Rubber Modification: Poly-isobutylene has excellent aging resistance and plasticity, can be used to modify the rubber. It is now widely used in high-voltage insulating and self-adhesive tapes, and rubber strips and other manufacturing fields.
3.Paraffin Wax: Poly-isobutylene, after being mixed with paraffin wax or microcrystal wax, can increase its tensile property and enhance the brittleness of its products; especially when used for packaging frozen food, its flexibility and acid resistance can be increased.
Printing ink: Poly-isobutylene can act as the thickener and dispersant when added into printing ink, such as printing pulpy inks, polyethylene cyclic photocopy, printing ink; it can also has a thickening function in the printing ink, to prevent air crack.
4.Lubricant Grease: Adding in lubricant grease, poly-isobutylene can improve the viscosity and extreme pressure resistance of its products.
