Purpose and scope
The instrument is designed and made as per the National Standard of Peoples Republic of China GB/T 5096 Test Methods for Detection of Copper Corrosion from Petroleum Products by the Copper Strip Tarnish Test. It is suitable to determine the corrosiveness to copper of aviation gasoline, aviation turbine fuels, automotive gasoline, natural gasoline or other hydrocarbons having a Reid vapor pressure no greater than 124 kPa, cleaners solvent, kerosene, diesel fuel, distillate fuel oil, lubricating oil, and other petroleum products. The instrument has the function of temperature controlling, timing and alarming.
