The planetarium projection and control system:             

-          The digital star image and media projection system can display the full sky of stars down to the 9th magnitude, or a zoomed in region with stars of -2 to 17.2 magnitude. It can also show planets and satellite systems, well-known nebulae and clusters and their enlarged photos. It projects the movie to a spherical screen of 4 to 14 meter diameter, or a tilted curved screen.

-          Operation through keyboard, allow you to present a professional planetarium show.

-          Via the easy-to-use recording and text editing software, you can create your own short teaching movies, or even educational program for specific celestial phenomena, without extra equipments.

Functionality of astronomy education

Project full sky above the horizon onto the semispherical screen, by the stellarium software. That includes the following contents:

Other functions

The software supports both spherical screen movies and normal movies to be displayed in the dome. For example, you can play DVD onto a designated region of the dome. This will greatly enrich the contents of the programs. Students can create their own astronomy short movies, and present them in the planetarium. Although the quality of these programs is limited, it does stimulate their enthusiasm on learning.
