All the high speed tool steels are refined with electroslag remelting ( ESR ). After improving for more than 30 years, the kinds of the steels are more and more complete, and the quality has reached the international advanced level, which can be compared with Japanese YXM1.There are three types of the steel: ordinary, economic and high performance, with the ordinary high speed steel to be the leading products and the high performance and the powder metallurgy high speed steel to be the focus of the development. Specialty:
W-MO (6-5-2) is the most common high speed tool steel, especially SKH9 (SKH51). It replaces the W high speed tool steel SKH2 to be NO.1 of using in the world. The organization structureof carbide is slight and neat. It has good distribution and symmetrical organization. And it also has good resistance to wear. As it is only the increase or decrease of carbon. It will not damage the high temperature characteristics and can be continuously and substantially alter the properties of the steel. It can do hot work and cold work and it has good machinability and polishing property
