Calcium Aluminate Cement

Instruction

High alumina cement or Fused calcium aluminate is produced by burning the raw materials of high grade crude aluminous bauxite and limestone in arc-furnace kiln. Calcium aluminate clinker is mainly used in refining ladle to remove the sulfide impurities from steel liquid and keeping good fluidity of slag.

Application

Because of their relatively high cost, calcium aluminate cements are used in a number of restricted applications:1) in construction concretes, rapid strength development is achieved, even at low temperatures.

2) in construction concretes, high chemical resistance is possible.3) in refractory concretes, strength is maintained at high temperatures.4) as a component in blended cement formulations, various properties such as ultra-rapid strength development and controlled expansion can be obtained.

Features:

1. High refractoriness 2. Good resistance to abrasion 3. Good anti-corrosion performance 4. High thermal shock stability
