Pure Mg-olivines melting point is 1890oC,it is the only stable refractory in MgO-SiO2 system.M2S has no isomer phase transition from room temperature to the melting point.
Olivine has high load softening temperature,after added some magnesia,the products temperature of starting deformation can be 1650oC to 1750oC,or even higher.Its thermal shock resistance is better than ordinary magnesia brick.
Olivine refractories can also be used for various industrial furnaces and lattice brick in regenerator and ingot brick.Meanwhile,it also has good effects being used in furnace bottom and hot stove.
