General
 Wenrui Machinery (Shandong) Co. Ltd successfully designed and developed SDW Drum Replacement Washer (pulp machine)on the basis of absorbing and drawing from foreign SDW product. There are two types of SDW Drum Replacement Washer: low consistency type(inlet consistency of 3%-6%) and medium consistency type(inlet consistency of 8%-11%), adapting one to four stage washing. The former is mainly used for washing unbleached pulp; the latter is mainly used for washing pulp from cooking and blowing stage, or after O-delignification stage, or among each bleaching stage. The equipment is featured unique design, stable operation, high capacity, high extracting efficiency, washing quality and wide ranges of pulps hardness. It takes the lead of development of washer in the pulping field.
structure
The equipment is complete with support body, upper hood, drum, right & left distribution head, discharge screw, and nine filtrate circulation pipe and circumferential direction fixer for distribution valve. Lower support body mainly includes inlet zone, discharge zone, main drive unit and its base, free end support and its base. Drum surface is made of stainless cylinder perforated plate. The surface is divided into 64x2 chambers by filtering compartment along axial direction, and directly contact with underside of pulp mat. Drum surface is not equipped with wash web, while filtrate compartments shaped by filtrate deck, drum body and partition board dont connect with each other, but only connect to filtrate collecting chamber at the end of drum. The lower support body and upper hood are equipped with adjusting gland strip, which divides drum, lower support body and upper hood into different matching function zones. Respectively, they are sizing zone, four replacement washing zone, vacuum suction zone, discharge zone and strainer washing zone. Each zone is sealed by adjusting gland strip of stainless partition board with lower support body and upper hood. Distribution valves are installed at both end of the drum, and also divide into sizing zone, four replacement washing zone, vacuum suction zone, discharge zone and strainer washing zone. Filtrate collecting chamber at the end of drum directly connects to respective zone of distribution valves, and linked to filtrate circulation pump and countercurrent washing circulation pump. The washer pulp will be blew down by compressed air, and then taken out by discharge screw.

Working Principlel:(based on low consistency type)

Screened pulp at pressure of 0.05Mpa and consistency of 3%-6% goes into pulp chamber. Under pressure of inlet pulp, large quantity of black liquor is filtered, and makes pulp on the filter board up to consistency of 10%-12%. After that, pulp on the drum will be forced by partition board to go through 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th washing zone. Hot washing water is added in the 4th zone, and will be sent counter direction by circulation pump to 3rd, 2nd and 1st by turn. In the 1st stage strong black liquor enters black liquor tank because of vacuum. Filtrate consistency difference makes pulp displaced and washed in the 3rd, 2nd and 1st zone during the whole washing process. After the four-stage washing, the pulp enters vacuum stage., in which vacuum pump dries the pulp up to 14%-16%. Residue liquor will be suctioned out from the pulp, so the pulp becomes cleaner. Then break-off stage enters the pulp, which will be blew by pulse compressed air to screw conveyer by witch the pulp goes to stock storage chest. Then the whole washing stage ends.
The equipment looks like a horizontal belt washer forming a drum type from the point of operating feature and structure. Therefore, it has characteristics of both horizontal belt washer and vacuum washer.
Features:
1High black extracting efficiency, and good washing effect. This equipment extracts black liquor of consistency of 7.5OBe, and extracting efficiency is 97%. The whole washing is operating in totally enclosed condition; washing quality is more stable and no foam is produced during washing.
2High production capacity. One set of equipment can finish the whole washing without several sets in cascade.
3Less occupation. The equipment can be installed at the low elevation, and filtrate between the stages is pumped by circulation pump.
4Low power consumption, and less maintenance. The single equipment completes the four stage counter-current washing replacing the four sets of drum washer. Therefore, there are less auxiliary equipment, low power consumption, less repair; strong filter deck can be used in the whole life.
5Wide range of washing. The equipment may be used for washing unbleached pulp of low consistency, also may be used for washing pulp of medium consistency from cooking and blowing stage, or after O-delignification stage, or among each bleaching stage.
