Give your CPAP tubing a thorough cleaning with our custom-made tube brush. Soft nylon bristles on a 5’ galvanized stem makes it possible to gently clean the otherwise virtually impossible to reach interior. Working from both ends, you’re able to clean a 10’ length of tubing. Fits all Universal (22mm bore) tubing. CPAP Tubebrush Care and Usage 1. Carefully unwind and straighten tube brush, maintaining a hold on both ends.
2. Once unwound, we suggest finding somewhere to hang the brush. Repeatedly winding and unwinding it may fatigue the metal, resulting in a broken stem.
3. Wash before use with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with cool water.
4. To clean your CPAP tubing, once again use a mild detergent and luke- warm water.
5. Keeping the tube as straight as possible, gently work brush back-and-forth in short strokes, gradually working further inside the tube.
6. Overly aggressive strokes are discouraged. Due to the manufacturing process, the tip of the brush has a slight point on it. Not keeping the tube straight in the area being cleaned may result in a pierced tube.
7. When done cleaning, thoroughly rinse tube with a stream of cool water.
8. Attach tube to CPAP machine, and let run for 15 minutes or so, or until you feel all interior moisture has evaporated.
9. Gently pat the bristles until dry to the touch and hang somewhere where there is air circulation.
10. Note: While hot water may seem better, hot water dries out plastics, and shortens their lifespan.
