Purified Water Preparation System (FDA&cGMP Approved)

Purified Water Preparation System,It is used to making the pharmaceutical purified water fullfill FDA requirements. Design and Manufacturing According to FDA&cGMP Standard Pretreatment Unit

The Pretreatment Unit consists of the following components, listed in the order of process flow:

1)      Raw Water Tank

The feed water tank is constructed of PE with a capacity of 1000 liters.

2)      Raw Water Pumps

One 0.57 kW pump provides feed water to the system.

3)      Chemical Container and Dosing Pump

One 40 liter PE tank and dosing pumps are used to add flocculating and anti-scaling agents to the raw water.

4)      Multi Media Filter

The multi media filter unit employs granular filter media in a fiberglass housing to remove suspended solids and colloidal materials from the incoming water.

5)      Activated Carbon Filter

The activated carbon filter uses activated carbon in a fiberglass housing to remove organic compounds, chlorine, odors, and reduce turbidity from the incoming water.

6)      Salt tank

One 100 liter salt tank is used to add salt to the softener.

7)      Softener

Function: Ion exchange between the Na resin and  Ca2+,Mg2+ and Ba2+  so as to remove water rigidity.

(1) for carbonate  rigidity -  the reaction equation is as below:

       Ca(HCO)3+2RNa=R2Ca+2NaHCO3

       Mg(HCO3)2+2Na=R2Mg+2NaHCO3

(2) for non-carbonate rigidity-  the reaction equation is as below:

        CaCL2+2RNa=R2Ca+2NaCL

        CaSO4+2RNa=RCa+Na2SO4

        CaSiO3+2RNa=R2Ca+Na2SiO3

        MgCl2+2RNa=R2Mg+2NaCl

        MgSO4+2RNa=R2Mg+Na2SO4

        MgSiO3+2RNa=R2Mg+Na2SiO3

Above equation can be integrated as below:

         Ca2++2RNa=R2Ca+2Na+

         Mg2++2RNa=R2Mg+2Na+

The Ca2+, Mg2+ ions in water are replaced by Na+ of Rna type resin, and remain in the resin, and the ion exchange resin is transformed from Rna type to R2Ca or R2Mg type resin.

8)      Precision Filter

The precision filter employs a 5-micron membrane filter to remove any remaining particles to prevent contamination of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) System

The R.O System is supplied from a standard water softener and pre-treatment system.

1)      Booster Pump

Two high pressure pumps are used to pressurize the RO system, one for each stage. 1 stage high pressure pump is 1.5KW, and stage high pressure pump is 1.1KW.

2)      Intermediate Water Tank

A 1000 liter stainless steel tank is used for intermediate storage between the first and second stages of the RO system.

3)      RO Chemical Tanks and Dosing Pumps

One 40 liter PE tank and dosing pumps are used to adjust pH levels of the RO unit.

4)      RO Cleaning Tank

A 1000 liter PE tank is used to feed cleaning agents, during period RO membrane cleaning process.

5)      Two Stage RO System

The reverse osmosis unit uses a dual stage six RO membrane system to remove dissolved salts, organic material, silica, colloids, macromolecular matter and fine particles from the water stream.

6)      RO Water Storage Tank

The purified water storage tank will be constructed of 304 stainless steel. The tank capacity shall be 1 tons.

7)      Purified Water Pump

A 0.62 KW stainless steel pump is used to pressurize the PW system.

8)      Ultraviolet Sterilizer

An ultraviolet sterilizer is installed to eliminate bacteria in the (PW) loop.

9)      Precision Filter

The precision filter employs a 2.2-micron membrane filter to remove any remaining particles to prevent contamination of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes.
