Bagasse is the fibrous matter that remains after sugarcane stalks are crushed to extract their juice.

Why use sugarcane bagasse products?
A: Sugarcane is a tree-free renewable resource. Historically, bagasse waste has been burned in the fields, and thereby creating pollution. Now, bagasse is used to manufacturer biodegradable and compostable food service products replacing traditional paper, plastics and styrofoam products.
