YJ-II-SRD rapier loom is droved directly by switched reluctance motor, and the braking system is on one side of the motor. Without clutch and reduction gearbox driving device, the structure of the loom is more simple and stable. With the changes of the structure, the starting torque is increased and the rapier loom can reach the speed immediately. It saves at least 10% of electricity than the common clutch model.
