(12~ 40.5)kV Indoor Porcelain Power Isolating Switch

1 As a key component of metal enclosed switchgears, GN-12~40.5Q indoor high-voltage isolating switch is suitable for 12kV, 24kV and 40.5kV single-phase AC 50Hz power system.

2 Features of Main Structure

2.1 Every phase conductive body for an isolating switch of GN-12~40.5Q is fixed on a bottom seat by post insulators. Three phases of a GN-12~40.5Q isolating switch are mounted in parallel. The conductive body of every phase is composed of a contacting knife and a stationary contact. At the mid of every contacting knife is connected with a pull rod insulator that is connected with a main shaft mounted on a bottom frame by a connecting rod. The main shaft is connected to CS6-1T or CS6-2 operating mechanism by a crank arm and a connecting rod. The mechanism is connected to the isolating switch by a connecting rod supplied by customers to make the relative movement of the mechanism and the switch.

2.2 The conductive part mainly consists of a contacting knife and a stationary contact. The stationary contact is mounted on a post insulator. The contacting knife of every phase is composed of two pieces of groove copper plate to enlarge the heat-sinking area and enhance the mechanic strength of the contacting knife, so the thermal and dynamic stability has been enhanced. One end of the contacting knife is mounted on the stationary contact by a pin (bolt), the other end of the contacting knife is a separable connection with the stationary contact. The contacting pressure of two contacting knives is maintained by a spring.

4 Installation and Adjustment

4.1 The earthing switch can be mounted horizontally, vertically or declinely. The switch and the operating mechanism shan’t be installed until they have been checked up and in normal. 

4.2 Fix the earthing switch on the basic seat with four bolts M12.

4.3 Phase by phase, check up and adjust the contacting condition of the contact and contacting finger. More than two thirds of the contacting area has to be guaranteed.

4.4 Check up closing condition of 3-phase contacting seat and contacting finger. The synchronism of the position for 3 phases is not more than 3 mm while just closing.

4.5 Manual closing and opening shall be carried out on the switch for 5 times respectively, making sure everything has to be ok.
