Scrambler-descrambler pay-TV management system can realize scrambling and descrambling of TV program in any individual channel or the TV programs in all the channels conveniently at the front end. For adding every additional scrambled program, only one set of scrambler needs to be added at the front end, the cost of which equals to a high-grade modulator only. The front-end operator can achieve this by simply update the data in the IC card of the subscriber. Quantity of scrambled programs and channels can be adjusted easily and at any time during the process of transmitting the scrambled programs according to the requirement.
The subscriber descrambler adopts IC card authorization mode, with both scrambled data and subscriber advance payment information stored in the IC card. It is so secure that even the professional personnel can be hardly able to decipher it. Comparing with the front-end addressing mode scrambling and descrambling system, IC card authorization mode has the merits of high reliability, steady operation and occupying no channel resources when subscribers are in large numbers.
