DL6W light rail tram is a kind of modern city light rail tram developed and designed by our company independently. Low floor technology which was international popular in 90’s was first adopted on the tram. The height from floor to rail top is 380mm. In the meantime, unpowered bogie with independent wheels matching with low floor structure was developed and used. The total tram is of hinge joint structure in car body. Riding comfort is improved by new technologies such as elastic wheels, air springs, etc. The traction control performance is also improved by other new technologies such as microcomputer control, AC transmission, dynamic brake, disc brake, etc. The tram design speed is 70km/h with a small negotiable curve of 15m. DL6W light rail tram passed national ministry of construction technical appraisement in 2001. The bogie with independent wheels and hinge structure were first used in our country. Several technologies such as elastic wheels, AC transmission, microcomputer control, status monitoring, etc. were first successfully applied to light rail trams in China.
DL6W light rail tram features riding conform, low noise, convenient on and off, low manufacturing cost, etc. The vehicle performance, carbody structure, transmission technology, control technology, energy saving, noise reduction, riding comfort, etc. all reach advanced level equals to similar products of 90’s in international.
