Magnetic compass is a small size liquid compass. It can be used as a steering compass on wooden fishing vessels and non-iron small boats, particularly used for indicating course oceangoing fishing vessels, the main characteristics are as follows:

b) Stable in magnetism-reliable in operation and high in sensitivity;
c) Simple and compact in construction, fine corrosion resistance and in maintenance;
d) Clear graduations with black letters on white card and easy in reading;
e) With the chief semi-cycle deviation correcting system, easy in adjustment;
f) With built-in illuminator and a protective cover used in the open-air at night navigation;
g) With a compensator which can prevent liquid in the compass bowl from bubbling as temperature changes.
