1.Hexagonal Boron  is a white solid material in the as produced hot pressed form. It is a low porosity solid. It is easily machined into complex shapes using standard carbide tooling. The material is anisotropic in its electrical and mechanical properties due to the platy hexagonal crystals and their orientation during the hot press consolidation.

2.Key Properties: 

High thermal conductivity; Low thermal expansion; Good thermal shock resistance; High electrical resistance; Low dielectric constant and loss tangent; Microwave transparency; Non toxic; Easily machined — non abrasive and lubricious; Chemically inert; Not wet by most molten metals.

3.Uses:

 Structural material in atomic reactor; spout of plane, rocket engine; High temperature solid lubricant and many kinds of parting agent of precision molding products; High temperature resistant, anticorrosive boron nitride and boron nitride compound ceramics; Synthesize cubic boron nitride; Compression resistant and high temperature resistant lubricating grease; All kinds of high temperature resistant, anticorrosion coating; Insulator for high pressure high frequency electricity and plasma arc; Ox dating additive for refractory materials.
