Eero Aarnio designed the Ball Chair in such a way that it came to be known as the Globe chair, thanks to its convectional shape. This great design is considered an industrial design with a hollow sphere on a stand, and is open on one side.In 1968, The Ball Chair inspired Eero Aarnio to design a similar bubble chair which was suspended from above and was clearer. Eero Aarnio is also known for his Pastil Chair, a floating plastic chair which is very similar in shape to a solid inner tube, the Tomato Chair and his Screw Table.
