It is used for refernce side orientation. It is suspended on the ingot grinder and combined in use with the ingot grinder.
DX-8 X-ray orientation unit completed with DX-8 Ingot Grinder
Functions: in application this unit is completed with the ingot grinder, i.e. it is suspended on the ingot grinder. After the quartz-ingot outer diameter gets ground, turn on x-ray tube( with an adjusted angle ) and through the ingot-grinder/quartz ingot rotation look for the crystal direction of quartz-ingot reference side. Seeing the optimum position through the instrument, turn by 90°to grind the reference side.
