Main chemical compositions of Polygonum Cuspidatum are stilbene and anthraquinone compounds.In formerly used literature contents of Stilbene Glucoside or Emodin was adopted to evaluate its quality, However, single chemical composition fails to fully reflect the quality of the medicine.
