For the super strong magnetic water separation combination, it is suitable to remove iron in ores including: manganese ore, limonite, hematite, goethite, siderite, chromite, columbite-tantalite, kalkowskite, monazite, alabandite, psilomelane, pyrolusite, rhodochrosite, wolframite, ilmenorutile, itabirite, apatite, xenotime, olivine, renierite, ankerite, biotite, epidote, garnet, samarskite, serpentine and non-metallic iron separation. After separation by this machine, the grade can be increased by 10-30% in general.

The super strong magnetic water separation combination has the permanent magnetic source magnetized by the latest developed NdFeB magnetic material that has extremely high magnetic permeability and magnetic field energy and is built based upon the characteristics of magnetic induction of objects to be separated and through actual operation analysis, scientific design and precision fabrication.

The machine is available in single-stage separation, two-stage separation, and multi-stage separation.

1. The single-stage separation model comprises down-flow type (CTS), counter flow type (CTN), and semi-counter flow type (CTB), and has a magnetic induction around the magnetic drum between 2GS and 7000GS (depending on ore grade);

2. The two-stage separation models are provided with magnetic drums as the upper and lower stages respectively and comprise all down-flow type (CT2S), upper drum down flow and lower drum counter flow type (CTS-B), and all semi-counter flow type (CT2B) depending on specific needs, and the form of separation is determined as concentrate repeated separation and tailing repeated concentration:

(1) Concentrate repeated separation is designed for primary magnetic minerals sorting which has a magnetic induction varying from 200GS to 7000GS on the surface of the magnetic drum, and for secondary weak magnetic mineral separation which has a magnetic induction varying from 2GS to 2000GS on the surface of the magnetic drum (depending on the ore grade).

(2) Tailing repeated separation is designed for primary strong magnetic minerals sorting which has a magnetic induction varying from 2GS to 2000GS on the surface of the magnetic drum, and for secondary weak magnetic mineral separation which has a magnetic induction varying from 200GS to 7000GS on the surface of the magnetic drum (depending on the ore grade).

3. Multi-stage separation model is designed for minority ore grades and custom-made manufacture based upon different ore quality. Optional separation types include down flow, counter-flower, semi-counter-flower, or their combinations from above two or more. The magnetic field strength is determined by ore grades. The drum-like permanent magnetic separator is structurally simple, small, light in weight, and efficient, and consumes less power, and is currently widely used in ferrous and nonferrous mineral separation plants, heavy medium coal washing plants and other industrial departments.

Main Functions and Characteristics of the Machine

(i) It is to sort out grain-size 0~6mm magnetic minerals, and on the basis of feasible magnetic separation, it uses strong magnetic roll for weak magnetic mineral concentration through permanent-magnetic single drum iron-separation. The machine falls into the category of down-flow construction depending on its magnetic products and feeding ores to be concentrated. The machine has a big processing capacity, wide sorting range in terms of ore grain sizes, and high separation precision, and is suitable for coarse and fine sorting of medium-grain weak magnetic ores. Ores discharged from the machine have two grades, the concentrates and the tailings.

(ii) It uses permanent magnetic system and multi-stage sorting to maintain working stability and ensure the concentrate grade when dealing with ores at a high capacity.

(iii) The machine is compact, small, light in weight, and efficient, consumes less power, and is readily accessible to maintenance and repair.

(iv) It operates under simple principle of transmission, is easy to operate, and has higher working efficiency.

(v) As it incorporates high-level electrical control technology, operations are quick and straightforward and can improve operating efficiency and in the meantime relieve operator’s labor intensity.

(vi) The sorting bucket of the machine is provided with an adjustable partition board, main tank, and guide trough; the partition board is made of highly abrasion-resistant stainless steel that can effectively ensure machine life and meanwhile avoid the possible impact of rust on mineral grade. The partition board can be adjusted flexibly and fixed quickly, and play an important role in guaranteeing ore grade in production.

(vii) Electromagnetic speed-regulating motor is used to provide power for the machine so that the motor life and mechanical drive power can be ensured; it is in such case that the ore concentration speed is adjustable, and separate sorting can be achieved over multiple stages.

(viii) Belt-type demineralization technology is used to achieve quick disengagement of mineral aggregates, avoid successive magnetic aggregation and superimposition, and ensure ore sorting sufficiency and handling capacity stability.
