The machine is a grate mill having horizontal drum-like rotary apparatus, outer gears for transmission, and two compartments. Materials are fed into the first compartment of the mill uniformly by means of the feeding device and the hollow shaft spiraling. Inside the compartment there is stepped liner or wave liner and differently-sized steel balls, which are brought to a certain height by the centrifugal force generated by the rotating cylinder and then fall, having impact and grinding effect on materials. When the primary grinding process is achieved in the first compartment, materials flow into the second compartment by means of the single-layer partition plate. Inside this compartment, there is a plane liner and steel balls that are responsible for further grinding of the material.
Pulverized materials are then discharged from the discharge grate plate. The entire grinding process is then ended.
The ball mill comprises the feeding part, discharge part, rotary part, and transmission part (reducer, drive pinion, motor, electrical control). The hollow shaft is made of cast steel, having a removable liner. The rotary gear wheel uses castings that have been machined by hobbing. The drum has wear-resistant liner inside. The machine runs stably and reliably during operation.
According to the type of materials and the mode of ore discharge, a dry or wet grate mill can be chosen.
