Double Floating Mould
Double floating mould is able to obtain at the same time a pressed tile with the face upwards, but with spacer. It is different with the normal die in terms of rigidity and compactness, features that make it especially suitable for medium-large size use. In the case of the Double floating mould, special focus has been placed on the hydraulic circuit to use pressures that are not excessively high with uniform movement of the internal moving parts, preventing uncontrolled abrasions and deformations. Double floating mould is intended exclusively for porcelain tile production and results in exceptional quality advantages in production.
The adoption of this system has produced the following ADVANTAGES:
- The tile is formed completely in the top die box, where it is compacted between the two punches;
- The fact that there is no contact between top and bottom liners ensures gradual and uniform deaeration and prevents the formation of fractures or cracks even in the case of very thick products (above 20 mm )
- Possibility of changing the tile thickness by up to 5 mm directly on the press. - The return speed of the top die box, as well as its forward movement on the plunger guide, can be adjusted by means of special devices supplied with the machine.
- During ejection from the top cavity, the tile does not undergo any type of stress, nor translation, nor fall and always remains rested on the bottom die.
These are the advantages in terms of quality for pressed ceramic products:
- Perfect tile face surface;
- Total elimination of abrasions and scratches;
- No trace of pressed ceramic body, residue of previous cycles; - Save powder, can reduce 5mm of the size of tiles usually to be grinded; - Predigest the process of grinding edge, only once grinding is enough.
