I. Requirements of well type resistance furnace

1. Diameter of treating wire: 1.0mm;

2. Carbon content of treating wire: Low carbon steel wire;

3. Dimension of wire coils for 1.0mm wires: inner diameter 270mm, outer diameter 400mm, height 90mm, weight 25kgs/coil;

4. Required capacity of furnace: 4.0Ton/day;

5. Purpose of resistance furnace: Soften steel wires before further drawing;

III. Technical parameters of resistance furnace

V. Description of well type resistance furnace

This electric furnace is intermission working type resistance furnace, which is very suitable for the heat treatment of many kinds of steel wires and abnormal items, its normal working temperature is around 750°C.

Whole set of equipment is composed of well type resistance furnace, stainless steel type furnace pot and temperature control system. Furnace body is composed of furnace cover, furnace liner, heating items and so on. Outside of furnace cover is designed in round shape.

Furnace liner is made of most advanced needles shape fiber modules, which are much more advanced than traditional furnace. Its detailed advantages are as following:

Furnace hearth is made of good quality light bricks, which have big specific weight and huge decalescence rate

Furnace hearth is made of full fibers silicate aluminum modules, which have small specific weight, small decalescence rate, and great heat preservation performance

Electric heating items are put on  wire laying bricks, which have very low thermal efficiency

Electric heating items are hanged inside furnace hearth, they are completed bared for directly radiation, which have high thermal efficiency

Furnace pot is made of stainless steel SUS321 with thickness 8mm,its inner effective dimensions is φ1150×1800mm, 0.8mm wire coils will be put in 5coils for each lay and total 20lays inside it.

High temperature resistance electric heating items are adopted as heating items for resistance furnace. They are directly hanged inside furnace hearth which guarantee the heating items are completely bared and can directly radiate to furnace pot to ensure high heating efficiency.

 “Position shape” control is used for temperature control system, which have many functions, such as digital display meters, over temperature alarm, time limit and so on.

All the manufacturing, installation and inspection of well type resistance furnace are done according to following standards:

1. Current part of GB-10067.1-4-88<Basic technical conditions of electric heating equipments>;

2. Current part of GB10066.1-4-88<Testing method of electric heating equipments>;

3. JB/DQ5071-82 Furnace building manual for resistance furnace;
