The feed trough of the reciprocating ram feeder is driven by driving device via eccentric wheel or crank transmission. When the feed trough forwards shafting, the materials are driven by the inertial and friction. At this time, the materials in the hopper drop to prevent feed trough going back and to tear down at the front -end. So feeding of the reciprocating ram feeder is discontinuity.
It has the advantages of uniformity, quantity of feeding adjustable, simple structure, stable running. It is applied to convey incompact bulk material (maximum size is 550mm), but is not acceptable to convey high moisture content or viscosity materials.
It could be arranged under the hopper. If conveying hard materials, please consider adding liner under the bottom of the slot. To control feeding coal, it could control bed depth through changing fan-shaped and adjusting opening of the gate or adjusting eccentricity of the eccentric wheel.
According to the needs, there are hopper and non-hopper.
According to the structure, there are regulating valve and non-regulating valve.
