2. InstallationSolar light must be installed in a sunny location where it can receivemaximum sunlight during daytime hours. Any cover that shades the solarpanel will affect its ability to absorb sunlight and decrease the amount ofbrightness and duration of the LED lights and its function will be decreased.The selected location should not be near a nighttime light source such as aporch light, street light, etc as these lights might prevent the solar rope lightfrom automatically turning on.The electronic box can be positioned in the ground with the tube ad pointedstake or on a flat surface with the wall mounting bracket. Always place thetube or wall mounting bracket first, then attach the electronic box. Be sure thesolar panel is pointed toward the light.
3. OperationCharge battery for at least 8 hours before first use. Turn power switch to theON position and the selection switch to the AUTO position when firstactivated. NOTE : THE UNIT WILL NOT FUNCTION IF « MODE » ISSELECTED WHEN FIRST ACTIVATED.a. AUTOTurning selection switch to the AUTO position will cycle the lightsthrough seven different flashing sequences : 1. Steady on, 2. Fasttwinkling, 3. Slow twinkling, 4. Slow flashing in series, 5. Slowflashing in reverse series, 6. Fast flashing in series, 7. Slow flashing inseries followed by reverse series. Each sequence will last forapproximately 10 seconds.b. MODEThe user can select any of the above sequence for constant use. Whilein the AUTO position, turn the select switch to the MODE positionwhen the desired sequence is illuminated. The light will continue tooperate in the selected mode until the unit is either turned off or anothersequence is chosen.
4. Battery changingIf your lights should begin to illuminate dimly or for shorter durations oftime, you should replace the rechargeble batteries in the following way : 1.Unscrew 4 screws and remove bottom plate from the electronic box, 2.Replace the old batteries with new one.
Warning : 1. Be sure that battery polarity and voltage are correct (wrong polarity isdangerous), 2. Do not dispose of old batteries, they should be recycled.
