Properties
As a water-soluble polymer, polyaspartic acid is an effective chelating agent, and it has the function of chelating multivalent metallic cations. It is a biodegradable environmentally friendly water treatment chemical, which has peptide linkage and carboxylic acid group and no phosphor in molecule. As a corrosion and scale inhibitor, polyaspartic acid is used in cooling water treatment, reverse osmosis membranes, and recycling water treatment of oil field, etc.. It is used to treat low alkalinity and low hardness water and it is more suitable for treating high alkalinity, high hardness, high temperature and high pH water. Its scale inhibition performance cannot be affected by the concentration of nitrogen and phosphor. Under the same conditions, polyaspartic acid performs better than the widely used inhibitors HEDP and ATMP at present.
Polyaspartic acid (PASP)can be used as an intensifier for absorbing nutrients in agriculture. It can also improve the effect by using with pesticides. By using polyaspartic acid , the production of farmland can be increased by 15%-70%, and the quality of crops is significantly improved.
