Pharmacological action: The product is a kind of fourth generation cephalosporin used especially in poultry and cattle. It is a broad-spectrum kind of antibiotic and has strong antibiotic activity which can kill G+, G- bacteria and some anaerobe. Ceftiofur sodium has a stabilizing molecular structure, which cannot be easily destroyed by lactamase, and therefore, its effect is permanent and it is not liable to be of no effect on pathogenic bacteria.
