Power Supply
The meter is equipped with capacitor on voltage circuit and is protected for high impulse voltage by 420VAC MOV across the line, the varistor is used to withstand over voltage of up to 420V across the phase and neutral, accuracy of the meter can be guaranteed precisely for variation in supply voltage ranging from -40% to + 40% of rated voltage.
Two Sensors of Metering
The meter consists of two magnetically immune sensors ( one for phase and one for neutral circuit) to sense and measure load current; and resistor divider for phase voltage sensing. i.e. The two sensors simultaneously sample phase current and neutral current, when unbalance occurs between them, the meter will sample the bigger current to measure energy from them, under this circumstance, the meter can measure energy normally when external interferences or tamper occurs.
The meter can record active energy forward and reverse, when current is reverse, the meter will also record active energy meter as the forward.
Maximum Demand
The meter can calculate and display Maximum Demand data. The meter will meter active energy (KWH) with maximum demand (KW). The Maximum Demand interval is configurable as per purchasers request. .
Display:
With modern electronic technology development, the meter is equipped with Liquid Crystal Display with a long life, high resolution and performance.
The LCD is in large size to read clearly and easily, of which life is expected to be up to 20 years under normal temperature and humid conditions.
Digits of display are maximum of 999999.9 kWh, the height of digit is 10mm, the width is 6mm. The LCD can be set to operate if main power is failure for 6 hours it also displays on line status of various tampering data, thanks to the dedicated enunciator available on the display driven directly from the micro controller.
Tamper and Fraud Protection
The meter is designed with preeminent anti tamper and fraud function. It will record reversed consumption as positive one and accumulate it to energy register under the conditions as follows: phase and neutral current reversal; full/partial earth loading and at the same time current reversed; full/partial earth loading; phase /neutral current reversal; partial earth loading and at the same time phase/neutral current reversed; missing of neutral; external magnetic influence etc.
There are dedicated enunciator to indicate on-line status of various tampering data: e.g. When current is forward, it will show signal , when current is reversed, it will show signal ; When earth loading tamper event occurs, it will display ; When meter lose neutral line, it will display .
Memory
The meter is provided with Non-volatile Memory to store energy consumption and demand information for at least 10 years in the condition that the main power is not supplied.
Calibration
The meter is tested, calibrated and sealed in factory for life, any modification of calibration at site is impossible after dispatch. And the accuracy of the meter can be checked by means of test output.
Test Output
It provides test output terminal for accuracy checking of the meter in the field. The same function can also be carried out by means of LED output on the meter using Scanning Head as per relevant IEC standard.
