SPW gasket with graphite or PTFE filler, without inner and outer ring
The gasket comprises a spirally-wound beaded metal band ( Standard: 316L; other materials on requirement ) in which a non-metallic band ( graphite or PTFE ) overlaying on both sides is inserted between the individual spirals of the metal band. It is used in tongue-and-groove systems ( dimensions as per DIN 2691, EN1514-1 Form TG and special dimensions ). Spiral-wound gaskets are used mainly under higher pressures and in ctritical operating conditions.
