Brief introduction to biomass gasification power generation plant
As a technology of utilizing renewable energy, biomass power, converts farm wastes (such as rice husk, wood chips, stalks, animal manure, domestic garbage, sewage, ect.) into combustible gases by means of gasification technology. The gases, after the processes of dust/tar removal, dewatering and cooling, are sent into gas engine for combustion to drive generators, thus concerting the thermal energy into electrical power.
Working Principles and Basic Technical Process Flow of biomass gasification power generation plant
Gasifiers use waste biomass as fuel and air as agent. The combustion in the gasifier takes place in fluidized manner and under normal pressure, and pyrolyzes and gasifies the fuel under controlled temperature while the gaseous tar is pyrolyzed in the gasifier. The coarse gases. after going through 2-stage highly efficient cyclones for dust removing, the, are then sent to the cleaning & cooling system that has 7-stage strict and multiple forms of purification nd thorough cooling, and are eventually stored in a buffer tank after pressurization. The purified gases are supplied to the internal combustion engines under stable pressure. The buffer tank is equipped with a complete set of pressure-release device to ensure the safety of the system. Eventually, electricity can be generated and supplied as per the voltage and frequency required by the customer.

In its early stage, gasification furnace was fixed-bed type, by utilizing the incomplete combustion of biomass fuel in the furnace to produce biomass gas due to lacking of oxygen. In recent years, the application of fluid-bed combustion technology makes the gasification furnace have still higher energy conversion efficiency together with simple, stable and reliable operation of the furnace . Besides, the thermal value of biomass gas has greatly been raised, reaching up to 5.0-6.3MJ/Nm3 (1,200-1,500kcal/Nm3).
The discarded biomass fuel shall be pyrolysised and gasified at high temperature in the furnace and change into biomass gas which can be used after cleaning and cooling treatment as clean gas fuel of internal combustion engine for electric power generation or for supplying urban residents as gas used as household fuel, or for supplying gas to the boilers of rice mills and timber processing mills as hot -air furnace -combustion to produce steam or hot air.

While by providing specially designed dust removing and tar-removing equipment outside the furnace, by adopting multi-methods have been adopted to strictly purify the biomass gas. This furnace is also equipped with perfect operation paparameter monitoring instruments of operational, together with centralized control and remote operation to meet the requirements of the internal combustion engine for fuel quality.
The gas output of the furnace has been alread serialized and can meet the demand of gas supply for 200-2,000kW electric power generation. The specifications and parameters are shown in the Attached Table 1.2. If customers have special requiements, unique design, manufacture and delivery can be made on your demand.
