Type DFY-1 alkaline phenolic resin is a kind of water soluble thermosetting phenol resin after special modification. It is made from phenol, formaldehyde, alkaline catalyst and modifying agent through some synthetic technologies. We can use it with different molding sand matching proper ester curing agents in different climates to meet different demand of work pieces to availability date of sand mold and sand core. High proportion of recycling sand can still be used for molding and core making. Type DFY-1 alkaline phenolic resin is applied to manufacture of most casting parts of such material as cast steel, cast iron and nonferrous alloy. It is not only applied to continuous flow mixer used for product line of resin bonded sand but also applied to batch sand mixer combined with different ester firming agents.
