CAUTION: Charge only the battery that came with the drill other types of batteries may burst causing damage and or personal injury.

DRILLING:

1. DO NOT FORCE.THE TOOL! Keep hands free of work area.

2. For best results. Use sharp drill bits and keep bit free of debris by removing it frequently from the material you’re drilling through.

3. Use firm pressure to keep drill bit biting. Lessen pressure as the bit’s point breaks through the work piece.

4. Apply direct pressure in a straight line and avoid tilting drill to either side.

5. If large holes are desired. Drill small pilot hole first and then use a larger drill bit enlarge the hole.

6. Clamp. Vise or securely anchor material being drilled.

7. Always use CARBIDE-tipped bits when drilling through masonry.

8. When drilling in metal. Make an indentation where hole is to be drilled with a center round and hammer to prevent slippage. Place point of drill bit indentation and begin drilling. NOTE: a lubricant should be used when drilling all metals EXCEPT iron and brass. Which should be drilled dry.

SCREW DRIVING:

1. Before starting to screw. Drill a pilot hole in the material.

2. When using screws to fasten wood. Drill a pilot hole 2/3 the diameter of the screw. When working with hardwood. Drill a pilot hole the full depth of the screw. For soft woods. Only drill 2/3 of the depth. (Softer wood requires more thread engagement. Hence full pilot hole depth should not be done.)

3. If needed. Drill a hole the same diameter as the screw shank through the top piece of wood for clearance.

4. If needed. Drill a hole the same diameter as the screw head to countersink the screw.

5. Use firm pressure and drill straight or level when using.

KEYLESS CHUCK:

The drill is equipped with a keyless chuck. Hold the bottom chuck with one hand and turn the top chuck clockwise to tighten and counter- clockwise to loosen.

CAUTION: Always be sure the drill is turned off and the battery is removed before inserting a drill or a driver bit.

FORWARD-REVERSE SWITCH:

When holding the drill. Push the button to the right for forward. Push the button to the left for reverse. When the button is in the center position the drill is locked.

TORQUE CONTROL:

The drill has torque control settings which allows the clutch to disengage at a preset torque to prevent driving in screws to deep. The lower the setting, the lower the torque and the higher the setting the higher the torque.

WARNING!
