Introduction to rotary drum dryer
The rotary dryer is a kind of agricultural dryer used for reducing the moisture content of the material it is
handling by bringing it into direct contact with a heated gas. Rotary dryer is widely used in food,building material,
metallurgy,chemicals,cements industry and be used for drying metallurgy,chemicals,industrial drying slag cement
limestone,coal,slag,clay and other materials.The equipment is mainly composed of the rotary,jan plate,transmission,seal,
and other support equipment and component with a reasonable structure,well-produced,high yield,and low consumption,
the advantages of opertating convenience.Dryer capacity will depend on the properities,moisture content,drying temperature varies.
Working priciple of the rotary drum dryer
The wet material by belt conveyor or bucket elevator to the hopper, then flowing through the feeding hopper feeder pipe into the feed end. The feed pipe slope is more than the natural inclination of the materials, so the material can be flew into the dryer naturally. The dryer cylinder is slightly into a horizontal rotating cylinder. The materials was added from the higher end.while the heat carrier flow from the lower to enter into countercurrent contact with the material, the heat carrier and material together and flows into the cylinder. Run with the rotation of the cylinder material by gravity to the lower end. The wet material directly or indirectly get the heat in the process of moving forward of the cylinder body, , so that the wet material turns to be dried, and then was sent in the discharge end by a belt conveyor or screw conveyor .
