A new resin coated proppant which is researched by ourselves.It has a high strength and good crush resistance.
The general sproperties of resin coated proppants that have been developed and used in the Western countries since the middle of 1970s are introduced in this paper.This kind of proppant overcomes the inherent shortlomings of the traditional proppants (ceramic sand ).Not only are crushing and flowback are prevented ,but vilsd the embedment is reduced.In addition,because of prevention of the migration of fines,it can keep the fractures retain a good permeability for a long time under higher closure stress.At present a vast amout of proppants have been used which instead of both sand and ceramicitein many bilfieldg in USA.According to the experimental data and the field applications this oapershows that is more effective than the tranditional proppants in hydraulic fracturing and that resin coated proppants are used the preduction of oil and gas.The economic benefit analysis indicates that it is most economical and reasonable.Therefore ,it has a developing future in hydraulic fracturing treatments.
