Fiber-reinforced Heat Shrinkable Moisture-proof Closure

1.        General

   RSBJ is based on a unique glass fiber reinforced heat shrinkable composite material. This new revolutionary material offers extra ordinary mechanical and environmental protection. Its reinforced material structure has an excellent split resistance during installation and superior mechanical toughness. An integral metal layer which shrinks with the sleeve protects the joint from moisture vapour transmission. The inner coating of hot melt adhesive guarantees a watertight and secure bonding to plastic and metal-sheathed cables. The white line inside of the trajectory and the temperature-sensitive paint on the sleeve can lead a good and right operation. The reinforced branch-off and straight closures have been developed to meet the increased demand in cable networks.

3.        Application

---RSBJ closures are suitable for non-pressurized and up to 40kPa pressurized telecom cables with lead or polylene sheaths including jelly filled cables which are aerial, buried and in manholes.

---RSBJ are suitable for use in manholes, for buried and aerial cables with polyethylene, lead and aluminium sheathing.

---RSBJ closures are applicable both for straight as well as branch joints.
