Antisolar glass is a kind of flat glass which can absorbing a lot of infrared rays radiant energy, and it can preserve higher light transmittance. We have two processing methods: one is to add the amount of heat absorption capacity colorant to mix into the raw material of normal soda-lime silicate glass; another is spray plating one or more layers metal or metallic oxide film on the surface of flat glass.
The colors of antisolar glass have grey, brown, blue, green, bronze, pink golden and so on. At present, we have the first three color of antisolar glass.
Compact with normal flat glass, antisolar glass has following features:
1. Absorb the solar radiant heat. For example, the clear float glass thickness is 6mm can transmit 84% sun heat under the sunlit. Under the same condition, antisolar glass can transmit 60% sun heat. Based on the difference of color and thickness, the absorbance is different.
2. Absorb the sun light. Antisolar glass reduce the strength of sun light, play the anti-dazzle role.
It has amount of transparency, and absorbing the ultraviolet rays.
According to the features all above, antisolar glass is used widely in the windows, doors and outside wall of building, also the windshield glass of automobile and ship. It play the role of heat insulation, anti-dazzle, lighting, and decoration.
