Low-e (reflective) glass has a metallic coating on the inside of the outside pane. The coating will help to keep your house warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. It also cuts down on the transmission of light slightly. Another strong point is that Low-E glass cuts down on the UV ray which will fade carpets. For best glass performance this would be a recommended choice.
