Tempered glass
Tempered glass

Detailed Product Description

Tempered glass must have a surface compression between 3500 psi and 10,000 psi The heating process produces hightly desirable conditions induced stress which result in additional strenght, resistance the thermal stress and impact resistance. Under Windpressure, Tempered glass is approximately five time as strong as annealed glass, tempered glass is also able to resist temperature differences (from 93oC to 150oC) which would cause normal glass to crack Tempered glass is in used in many applications because of its safety characteristics. Safety come from strenght and from a unique fracture pattern. Strenght, which effectively resist wind pressure and impact, provides safety in may ways. When fully tempered glass breaks the glass fractures into small, relatively harmless fragments.
