bamboo bedding is from bamboo fabric. To make bamboo fabric, typically three-four year old bamboo plants are harvested, pulped, and then processed into fibers using one of several different modern methods. The resulting bamboo threads (or 'yarns' as they're sometimes called) are smooth and round. When they're woven together, they produce a fabric that feels silky and light on the skin. The end product, bamboo fabric, is both strong and soft, has reputed natural antibacterial qualities, and has excellent wicking (moisture absorbing) characteristics to keep you cool and fresh all night long. According to experts, bamboo fabrics also have great insulating qualities due to millions of microscopic air pockets in the individual fibers and are reportedly non-allergenic as well. Finally, bamboo fiber also blend well with other natural fibers like cotton, hemp, and silk. These blended fabrics make excellent bedding materials.

I really like this set. The bamboo print works well with my decor. However, I'm using different sheets that go well with the comforter. The thread count on the sheets that come with this set aren't very good. I like my sheets softer. Overall a good purchase though! woderful bamboo bedding.
